It was early morning during our visit to Maine. We had stayed up for the better part of 24 hours straight. “Come watch the sunrise,” he said. There’s a beautiful shot of that elsewhere which I haven’t posted, but will at some point. After the sun crested over the White Mountains, I looked to my right and saw this lovely half moon still wide awake high above the trees. And while the sunrise was beautiful, I also loved the desolation of this shot. To me, it represents hanging on past the point where you should have.
